Get Started with a TxTag Kit

Your Starter Kit

When you open an account, you will receive a TxTag starter kit. This kit will contain the essentials you need to get started paying tolls with your tag. It includes:

• TxTag Sticker
• Account Management Card
• Quick Start Guide (Installation Instructions) View PDF
• User Guide View PDF
• License and Use Agreement View PDF

The TxTag kit is free for a limited time, but you will have to add funds to your TxTag account to pay for your tolls. Use the money in your account at your leisure. There is no fee associated with using a tag to pay your tolls.

Some vehicles need special equipment

The TxTag sticker works with most vehicles, but there are a few exceptions...

Bumper Tags
Bumper tags may be required for some types of vehicles due to certain characteristics of some windshields. The bumper tag uses different technology to provide the same benefits of using a standard TxTag sticker. Because these tags can be reused, a deposit is required. Motorcycle Tags
Because the TxTag sticker relies on windshield glass to work, motorcycles will require a special tag. The motorcycle tag uses different technology to provide the same benefits of using a standard TxTag sticker. Because these tags can be reused, a deposit is required.
